Smolensk NPP Spends Day of Young Professional and Young Employee

On July 5, 2012 in the solemn atmosphere, 6 professionals and 25 young employees of Smolensk NPP were awarded with certificates of assigning them an appropriate status.



Representatives of the Administration, trade union and youth organizations congratulated the newcomers and wished them to bear the title of the nuclear engineer worthily, become professionals in their business and real patriots of the enterprise, which they decided to dedicate their working lives to.

In his addressing to the young people, Deputy Director of Smolensk NPP, Anatoliy Terletskiy, noted: “The certificate, which today is awarded to all of you is an indication that you have joined the family of Smolensk nuclear engineers, as well as parting words for the future, for you to develop your professional and creative skills, master the chosen profession successfully and take active part in the public life of the company.”

At Smolensk NPP there is worked out a complex program on working with young people. The first professional steps in production they do at subdivisions under the guidance of the experienced tutors, the second stage is associated with the development of vocational and technical skills and involvement into the production process, the third one is focused at the disclosure of innovative and scientific and technical potential of the youth, and identification of the leadership skills and career development.  

In the collective bargaining agreement of Smolensk NPP there is a section “Working with Young People”, where the basic directions of work in the field of youth policy are stipulated: solution of issues related to upgrading of the educational level and career development, improving of the living conditions and conditions for the development of creative abilities.



Smolensk NPP is a branch of Rosenergoatom Concern OJSC. Annually SNPP provides the country power system at an average of about 20 billion kWh of electrical power, which makes about 13% of energy produced by Rosenergoatom Concern and more than 80% produced by the power enterprises of the Smolensk Region.
