Rosenergoatom has increased its income from electric energy marketing and working output by 7% in 2016

According to recent reports (as of 09.01.2017), the income of electric energy marketing and working output of Rosenergoatom Concern JSC was 279.47 billion rubles in 2016. This is 7% higher than the corresponding indicator in 2015 (261.26 billion rubles).

As previously reported, in 2016 Russian nuclear power plants (branch companies of Rosenergoatom Concern JSC) exceeded the achievement of 2015 in amount of generated electric energy, increasing the overall generation for more than a billion Р up to 196.366 billion kWh as opposed to 195.213 billion kWh the year before.

Thus, the Federal Antimonopoly ServiceХs balance sheet result of 2016 reached 100.6% with plan figures of 195.217 billion kWh.

The Rosenergoaton Concern (the power division of the Rosatom State Corporation) includes 10 Russian nuclear power stations bearing the status of the ConcernХs affiliate companies, along with the vendors catering for the needs of the generation company. All in all, the 10 nuclear power stations operate 34 power blocks* (*excluding the Novovoronezh NPPХs 6th power block being at the pilot production stage): 17 of them operate VVER reactors (12 VVER-1000 power blocks and 5 VVER-440 power blocks of different modifications); 15 of them with channel reactors (11 power blocks with RMBK-1000 reactors, four power blocks with EGP-6 reactors); and 2 power blocks with fast neutron sodium cooling reactors (BN-600 and BN-800).

At the moment, the Rosenergoatom NPPs account for 18.6% of the whole electricity output in the
country.
