6.4 tones of silver carp fries weighing 150 - 200 grams were issued to the fifth power unit cooling pond by Novovoronezh atomists, and one more tone Р to the Don River.

For almost 20 years Novovoronezh NPP has been stocking the basins of Voronezh region with fish. Rosenergoatom Concern OJSC and NVNPP pay much attention to water protection events. About 600 thousand rubles is spent on fries annually.

As a rule, the fish stocking is held in spring, in the optimal time for adaptation of the fries grown in a fish nursery. Such difficult process, as the fish moving to a new dwelling, was organized by NVNPP department of environmental protection at a high level. Before the moving the specialists had performed the measuring, compared the water temperature and its oxygen saturation in the basins of the fish nursery, the Don River and the cooling pond.

As the representative of the controlling organization Р Verkhnedonsk department of fish protection of the Azov and Black Sea Rosrybolovstvo territorial administration Alexander Zolotykh reported to the journalists, all the necessary requirements to the fish average size, quality and quantity had been met and, that was of great importance, all the conditions of transportation had been fulfilled.
