Leningrad NPP: TV Programs Festival ТOn Camera-2012У Passes in Sosnovy Bor
On June 3, 2012 in Sosnovy Bor the II Festival of regional TV programs ТOn Camera-2012У of the Leningrad region finished its work.
The main objective of the Festival, which has been passing for three days based on health and recreation resort ТKopanskoyeУ of Leningrad NPP, was to share experiences and professional development of broadcasters of the region.
The event was organized by Sosnovy Bor TV channel STV, Leningrad nuclear power plant, and the town Administration. The sponsor support was given from Leningrad NPP, OKNO-TV Company and MTS Macro Region Severo-Zapad.
The participants of ТOn Camera-2012У were journalists and operators of the regional television companies, as well as camera crews of Public Information Centres of nuclear power plants of Russia: VOLKHOVSKIY PROSPEKT (Volkhov), TERA-STUDIYA (Sosnovy Bor), DIALOGUE (Pikalevo), NASH GOROD (Vyborg), OREOL-TV (Gatchina), STV (Sosnovy Bor), SYAS-TV (Syasstroy), FORMAT-TV (Vsevolozhsk), YAM-TV (Kingisepp), R2 (settlement Murino), SVIRINFO (Podporozhye and Lodeynoye Pole), TK KIRISHI (Kirishi), VUOKSA (Svetogorsk), TVKiK (Kurchatov), press-centres of Kursk and Leningrad NPPs.
The Festival was opened with a cultural and information program: journalists visited Leningrad nuclear power plant, visited on the channel STV the main organizers and initiators of the Festival, and had a general sightseeing tour in Sosnovy Bor.
The contest works review has been held for two days. More than 80 materials in various television genres have been submitted to the jury, among which there were sketches, journalistic stories, news blocks, documentary films, and others.
According to the program, at the Festival there was organized a Тround tableУ, where TV journalists discussed the problems and prospects of the development of broadcasting in the 47th region, and shared the experience with the colleagues from other regions. Besides, the specialists of St. Petersburg channels carried out for the participants of the Festival a number of trainings and master classes, aimed at optimizing the work within camera crews.
During the Festival there has been working an exhibition mount of the company OKNO-TV, where new video technologies were presented.
At the closing ceremony of the Festival ТOn Camera-2012У, the organizers announced the winners in the contest nominations.
The Grand Prix of the Festival, according to the unanimous decision of the jury, was awarded to Vsevolozhsk broadcaster Format-TV for the news release. It is noteworthy that Format-TV at this took also the second main prize Р the PeopleХs Choice Award, identified on the basis of the alternative sms-voting (special prize was given by MTS).

The Heaven of DesiresУ, Broadcaster R2 (Vsevolozhsk); for the best kids program Р ТThe CuriousУ, BC YAM-TV (Kingisepp); for the progress Р the news release, BC TVKiK (Kurchatov).
The organizational committee of the Festival also awarded a special prize ТFor the Love to AnimalsУ to the company OREOL-TV (Gatchina) for the series of special materials.
ТTo my opinion the objective of the Festival, which we spend in the year of the 20th anniversary of Rosenergoatom Concern is establishing contacts. In the journalism it is important not only to share the experience, but also personally know the colleagues,У Chief Engineer of LNPP, Konstantin Kudryavtsev, marked, awarding the prizes. ТFor example, specialists of the nuclear power industry, while geographically being in different regions of the country, constantly keep contact and every week communicate with each other,У he said.
The next Festival ТOn Camera-2013У will be spent on the new area Р in Vsevolozhsk, the city of new winners of this year.
