Kalinin NPP: Tour of Tilsit-Theatre in Udomlya

On August 19 on the stage of the Theatre and Concert Hall of the Public Information Centre of Kalinin nuclear power plant, there passed a performance in the production of Tilsit-Theatre from Sovetsk (Kaliningrad region) named ТThe French GarnishУ. The event has become a continuation of a series of festive events timed to the 20th anniversary of Rosenergoatom Concern OJSC.



In its repertory, the theatre presented as classic productions so performances of modern authors. Roman Nagmetov, a Director-Producer, suggested Udomelsk citizens a play, which told about the complicated love relationship of a family couple living in the countryside of Paris. The audience warmly greeted the actors, which showed brilliant game in the genre of situation comedy. In their turn, the actors expressed their appreciation to the audience for the warm welcome. At the end of the presentation, Acting Director for Staff Management of Kalinin NPP, Oleg Ivanovich Zhukovsky, on behalf of the plantХs employees thanked the troupe of Tilsit-Theatre for the pleasure and expressed a hope to see them again.

During the tour to Udomlya, the actors of Tilsit-Theatre went to a brief tour to the city and Udomelsk district, visited the branch of Tver regional picture gallery, Dacha ТChaikaУ.

Name of Kaliningrad Tilsit-Theatre origins from the historic name of the city, where it is located. The theatre building was constructed in 1893 with donations of residents of Tilsit. After the Great Patriotic War finished, the Kaliningrad region became a part of the Russian territory, and the city of Tilsit was renamed to Sovetsk. In 1956 Sovetsk opened its own professional drama theatre.

Kalinin NPP is a branch of Rosenergoatom Concern OJSC. The Plant is situated on the north of the Tver Region in Udomelsk district. Kalinin NPP includes four power units with pressurized water reactors (VVER-1000) each one having the installed capacity of 1,000 MW.
