Installation of Traveling Polar Crane at Unit 3 of Rostov NPP

At the Unit 3 under construction, there was maintained an operation on lifting and installation of two travelers of the polar crane of the reactor compartment to their proper location.

These are the basic steel constructions of the crane, by the help of which the mounting of all heavy equipment will be carried out in the reactor compartment, including steam generators and the reactor vessel itself.

Due to the movement of the crane on the round gantry rail, the polar crane is able to perform all loading and off-loading works at any point of the reactor compartment.
