Bilibino NPP: Inspection and Assessment of Occupational Safety and Health Management System
In the period of August 10-14, 2012, there was carried out inspection and assessment of the management system of occupational safety and health (OSH MS) of Bilibino Nuclear Power Plant, a branch of Rosenergoatom Concern, for the compliance with requirements of the international standard OHSAS 18001:2007, ТOccupational Safety and Health Management Systems. An audit team of the Association for certification ТRussky StandartУ (Russian Standard) arrived to Bilibino NPP to conduct certificate audit of the occupational safety and health management system.
The involved in the audit team were: Head of the audit team, Vanin Andrey Leonidovich, an expert of the Direction for Certification of Management Systems; co-auditor, Guts Gennady Dmitriyevich, an expert of the Direction for Certification of Management Systems; inspector, Polkovnikov Mikhail Borisovich (CJSC Klinsk Institute of Occupational Safety and Conditions, OLS-Komplekt).
Occupational safety and health management system gives to Bilibino NPP an opportunity to manage the risks for health and safety, and to improve indicators of its activities in occupational safety and health.
The goals of the management system of occupational safety and health are:
According to Head of the audit team, Andrey Vanin, the implementation and functioning of the occupational safety and health management system at Bilibino Nuclear Power Plant, a branch of Rosenergoatom Concern OJSC, can be confirmed with a sufficient degree of certainty.
OSH MS complies with the requirements of the international standard OHSAS 18001:2007.
The audit team recommends the Association for certification ТRussky StandartУ to issue a certificate of compliance with the international standard OHSAS 18001:2007.
