From June 9 to 30, 2012 BN-600 unit, Beloyarsk NPP, generated 200.81 million kWh. Prior to June 9, 2012 electric energy has not been generated due to implementation of new activities: fuel replacement, technical maintenance and equipment reparation.

Thus, just in the period of January 1 to July 1, 2012 BN-600 unit of Beloyarsk NPP generated 1810.5 million kWh of electric energy that amounts to 100.4 % of the planned task for the mentioned period.

The radiation background in the area of Beloyarsk NPP and the adjacent territory corresponded to the level of power unitsХ normal operation and did not exceed the natural environmental values.
 
Beloyarsk NPP was commissioned in April 1964. ItХs the first nuclear power plant of the largest nuclear power industry of the country and the only one with different operating reactors at the same plant. The first Beloyarsk NPP power units with thermal reactors AMB-100 and AMB-200 have been stopped due to resource exhaustion. The power unit with BN-600 fast neutron reactor of industrial power level nowadays operates as the unique in the world. The power unit with BN-800 fast neutron reactor is at present under construction. Fast neutron power units are designed to significantly expand the fuel base of the nuclear power engineering and minimize RAW by means of closed NFC management.
