Balakovo NPP: load increase is going on at power unit No. 4
Since May 16, 09:28 p.m., after the failure correction and the commissioning of the equipment power supply unit, the load increase is gong on at power unit No. 4.
The equipment connection to the grid and the load increase are being performed in accordance with the schedule of safe operation and the power system dispatcher.
According to the schedule, the recovery of power unit No. 4 full electric capacity is planned on May 17, 2011, 12:00 a.m.
The radiation background at the nuclear plant and in the adjacent territory is not changed, corresponds to the normal operation of power units and does not exceed the natural environmental values.
Timely information about operation of the plant is available twenty four hours by answering machine of the Public Information Centre of Balakovo NPP (845-3) 62-22-20.
