On 1 of April, 2014 the power unit №1 of the Kursk NPP will be displayed into the planned overhaul.

Repair program includes performing of routine maintenance work, provided by the annual schedule, and works to restore the resource characteristics of the graphite stack.

On April 3 the power unit №2 will be routinely disconnected from the network for integrated testing of the ECCS.

Shutdowns of the power units are provided by the annual schedule approved by the JSC «Concern Rosenergoatom». They will be implemented in accordance with the requirements of technological regulations and instructions.

There are power units No. No. 1, 2, 3 and 4 in work as of March 28 of this year on the Kursk nuclear power plant. They work at the capacity established by the dispatching schedule.

The radiation background on the nuclear power plant and around its arrangement is at the level corresponding to normal operation of power units, and doesn't exceed natural background values.
