Rostekhnadzor issued permit to start pilot production stage for new power unit at Leningrad NPP
On November 6 2020, Rostekhnadzor (Russian Federal Service for Ecological, Technical and Atomic Supervision) has issued a permit to start the next stage of launch operations, the pilot production stage, for VVER-1200 power unit No. 6. The experts will start an incremental raise of the reactor capacity shortly.

Rosenergoatom: electrical energy generation by Russian NPPs rose by more than 22% in October 2020
Power generation by Russian NPPs (branches of JSC Rosenergoatom, part of the Electric Power Division of Rosatom) made up 21,271 billion kWh in October 2020 (as opposed to 17,375 billion kWh in October 2019). That means the total power generation last month increased by more than 22% compared to the previous year

Over two million cubic meters of sand (about 700 Olympic-type pools, 8 tracks, 50 meters long) were laid by the builders in 2020 in the foundation of the future Kursk NPP-2. The plan was completed more than two months ahead of schedule.
