The Kolskaya NPP: on November 27, a unique exhibition "When the currents of the new forces are created from the destruction …" opens in Polar Zori

In celebration of the 60th anniversary of the Russian nuclear power a photo exhibition "When the currents of the new forces are created from the destruction  ..." - a joint project of the Concern "Rosenergoatom" and the Multimedia Art Museum "Moscow House of Photography» will open from 27 November to 11 December in the Information Center of the Kolskaya NPP.

The basis of the exhibition are works of two authors: specialist of UIOS at the Kalininskaya nuclear power plant, nuclear power industry veteran Eugene Fadina and young photographer Eugene Mironov, who took part in the «Biennale 2014" and Kandinsky Prize nominees in 2014.

Special attention beyond the future work of the exhibition photos of the open photo contest, which was held by the Concern "Rosenergoatom" in cities located near nuclear power plants in July and August, deserve an open photo contest. The exhibition includes 60 best photos of the three thousand submitted for the contest, including pictures of Polar Zori residents.

Productive life of Russian NPPs and nuclear physics processes have become key themes of the upcoming photo exhibition. Now nuclear power plants will look not just as a high-tech production, but also as an industrial art objects.

The Kolskaya nuclear power plant is a branch of JSC "Concern Rosenergoatom". The station is located in 200 km to the South from Murmansk on the shore of the Lake Imandra. It develops about 60% of the electric power of Murmansk region. There are 4 power units in operation with reactors of type VVER 440 MW each. The Kolskaya nuclear power plant is the supplier of the electric power for Murmansk region and Karelia.
