The Kolskaya NPP became the best industrial enterprise in the Murmansk region in the field of occupational safety in 2014

The Kolskaya NPP (branch of the JSC "Concern Rosenergoatom") was the winner of the annual regional competition for the best organization in labor protection in the nomination "The best organization in the field of labor protection among enterprises of industrial sphere." This decision was made by regional interdepartmental commission on labor protection of the Ministry of Labour and Social Development of the Murmansk region.
 
In accordance with the provisions of the competition, the organizers of the nuclear power plant has provided complete information on its activities in the field of occupational safety and health personnel.

According to the chief inspector of the Kolskaya NPP Valery Isakov, nuclear power plant is a complicated, continuous production and it gives priority to workers health. "At the station, there are no unresolved issues related to the safety of workers. There are a lot of manpower and resources, the company has invested into the maintenance of occupational safety to organize it on a high level. Further improvement in this area continues, "- he said.

The Kolskaya NPP is constantly working to comply with safety regulations, improving methods of work controlling management. During the year, regular days of labor protection are done, seminars and internships for occupational safety and health personnel are organized.

Management System Occupational Health and Safety at the Kolskaya NPP has been certified for compliance with the international standard OHSAS 18001: 2007.

The Kolskaya nuclear power plant is a branch of JSC "Concern Rosenergoatom". The station is located in 200 km to the South from Murmansk on the shore of the Lake Imandra. It develops about 60% of the electric power of Murmansk region. There are 4 power units in operation with reactors of type VVER 440 MW each. The Kolskaya nuclear power plant is the supplier of the electric power for Murmansk region and Karelia.
