On November 25, 2014 a training seminar via videoconference for health providers of nuclear power plants territory location was held at the Kalininskaya NPP. The event took place in the framework of the "Rosenergoatom" Concern and non-governmental environmental fund V.I. Vernadsky project. Meeting with doctors was held via videoconference for the first time.

The purpose of these seminars were to inform the public about the development of nuclear power generation in the Russian Federation, the activities of the Concern "Rosenergoatom", aimed at protecting the environment and public health, improving of environmental education in the regions.

The event was attended by the representatives of the Tver State Medical Academy, the Udomelsky department of the OJSC "SOGAZ" Tver branch, managers and specialists from the Central medical unit ?141 in Udomlya, medical staff from the dispensary-sanatorium of the Kalininskaya NPP.

The participants were presented lectures by the experts on the topics of safe operation of nuclear power plants, the effects of ionizing radiation on the human body and use in medicine, public health impact of radiation and chemical factors of the environment, the health of the population in the Tver region. The report on «Endoecological rehabilitation method for cell-organism level by Levin» was of particular interest, it was dedicated to new approaches to treatment and rehabilitation.

The event participants shared the view, that the webinar program was very informative. Thanks to the initiative of the Concern «Rosenergoatom", medical staff had an opportunity to expand their horizons and get a clear, objective and accurate information on the work of the Kalininskaya NPP.

"One of the objectives of such events is to learn more about the production processes at the Kalininskaya nuclear power plant, and the people, who provide them, - said the director of the Kalininskaya NPP Mikhail Kanyshev. - When there is innuendo, there are concerns. I hope that among your colleagues in your families you will become agents of objective information about the state of affairs in our production, our goals, our problems. After all, it is important for all of us, what environmental conditions we live in. "

At the end of the webinar participants received certificates from the non-governmental environmental fund named after V.I. Vernadsky and the Environment Department of the Russian People's Friendship University.

The Kalininskaya nuclear power plant is a branch of JSC "Concern Rosenergoatom". The station is located in the north of the Tver region in the Udomelskiy area. There are four power units with water-cooled power reactors (VVER-1000) with installed capacity of 1000 MW each in the structure of the Kalininskaya nuclear power station.
