The power unit ?3 with the BN-600 reactor at the Beloyarsk NPP generated more than 456.9 million Kilowatt-hours of electricity in January 2015,.

The capacity factor of the power unit in this month was 102.3 percent.

There were no deviations from normal operation of the powerunit. Radiation situation in the vicinity of the nuclear power plant stayed at the natural values.

Preparatory works for the launch of the power unit ?4 (BN-800) are being done.

The Beloyarsk nuclear power plant was put into work in April, 1964. It is the first nuclear power plant in big nuclear power system of the country, and unique because of the reactors of different types on one platform. The first power units of the Beloyarsk nuclear power plant with reactors on thermal neutrons of AMB-100 and AMB-200 were stopped because of resource development. There is the only one power unit in the world with the reactor on fast neutrons of an industrial power level BN-600 in operation. There is a power unit with the reactor on fast neutrons BN-800 in the stage of construction. Power units on fast neutrons are urged to expand significantly fuel base of nuclear power and to minimize radioactive waste at the expense of the organization of the closed nuclear and fuel cycle.
