Rostov NPP: the January plan has been fulfilled by 101.7 %

Rostov NPP has fulfilled the January plan for electricity production by 101.7 %. Actually two power units have generated 1.517 bln kWh of electric power the target figure being 1.491 bln kWh.

The utilization factor of maximum capacity in January amounted to 101.95 % with the planned value equal to 100.20 %.

Let’s remind that the Federal Tariff Service approved the plan for electricity generation by two power units of Rostov NPP in 2011 in the amount of 14.827 bln kWh of electric power. The expected utilization factor of maximum capacity will be at least 84.63 %.

Last year the staff of Rostov NPP ensured production of 12 bln 314 mln 610 thousand kWh of electric power having fulfilled the yearly plan by 108.7% at the utilization factor of maximum capacity equal to 89.14 %.

The yearly plan for electricity production was fulfilled ahead of schedule  – on December, 11.

Rostov NPP is a branch of Rosenergoatom Concern OJSC. The nuclear power plant is located on the bank of the Tsimlyansk Reservoir 13.5 km far from Volgodonsk city. Power unit No.1 which was put into commercial operation in 2001 has the operated VVER-1000-type pressurized water reactor with installed capacity of 1,000 MW. Power unit No. 1 was put into commercial operation in 2001, power unit No. 2 – in December of 2010.
