Leningrad NPP: judges of the ТWe are Nuclear City ChildrenУ contest have started their work

On April 22, the jury of the IX International Contest of the ТWe are Nuclear City Children 2011У project started its work.

This year, participants from different parts of Russia as well as from the Ukraine, Bulgaria, Finland, Hungary and France sent more than 1,000 children works to the contest.

The jury comprised of teachers, artists, museum workers and nuclear specialists judges competitorsХ works in three sections: computer works, artistic and literary creation.

The contest results will be announced in May, and in July a solemn awarding ceremony and opening of the children work exhibition called ТWe are Nuclear City Children 2011У will be held in Sosnovy Bor city, Leningrad region.

We should remind that this year it is the 16th anniversary of the ТWe are Nuclear City ChildrenУ project; and the children art contest, which is the main part of the project, is held every two years. For this period, it has engaged more than seven and a half thousand children from Lithuania, the Ukraine, Finland, England, Bulgaria, France, Germany and Russia Р from cities, where nuclear facilities are located.

The project was organized by Leningrad NPP, Rosenergoatom Concern OJSC and State Atomic Energy Corporation Rosatom. The project partners are Sosnovy Bor Museum of Modern Art, the Government Office of Culture of Leningrad region Р ФMuzeynoye AgenstvoУ (Museum Agency), the Creative Union of Museum Workers of Saint Petersburg and Leningrad region, Russian Museum Association and the International Organization of Young Nuclear Scientists.
