Kursk NPP: over 2.668 B kWh of electric power was produced in February

In February 2011, Kursk NPP produced 2 B 668 M kWh of electric power.

The utilization factor of maximum capacity was equal to 99.29%.

Kursk NPP supplied the customers with electric power steadily. They received 76,947 Gcal of heat. 

Since KNPP start-up in 1976, it has produced over 696.532 B kWh of electric power.

At present, Kursk NPP operates power units Nos. 1, 2, 3 and 4. Their actual capacity corresponds to the dispatch schedule.
 
No violations of limits and conditions of safe operation of Kursk NPP power units were registered in February and up to present.

The radiation background at the nuclear plant and in the adjacent territory corresponds to the normal operation of power units and does not exceed the natural environmental values.

Kursk NPP is a branch of Rosenergoatom Concern OJSC. The plant is located on the left bank of the Seym River, 40 kilometers to the south-west of Kursk city. The NPP operates four power units with pressurized-tube reactors with total capacity of 4 million KW. The power units were connected to the united energy system of the country in 1976-1985. Kursk NPP is the largest power generating source in the Central Black Earth Belt.
