An ecologic action took place on May 6, 2011 within the framework of the traditional ecologic marathon called ТGreen Belt of Atomic CitiesУ in Kurchatov city of atomists. About 100 young Kursk NPP employees and veterans took part in it.

That action has already been the third one within the framework of the ecologic marathon called ТGreen Belt of Atomic CitiesУ which was successfully started in Kurchatov in 2009. Then the atomists and the citizens planted about 3,000 trees and bushes and over 500 flowers.

This year Kursk NPP young employees and veterans conducted a renewal of the green plants bedded by the participants of the ecologic marathon called ТGreen Belt of Atomic CitiesУ in 2010. Having ТarmedУ with buckets and spades, the action participants attended all the areas where trees had been planted, including the Alley of Atomists, checked the condition of the seedlings, performed clipping, digging and other works on the green plants restoration.

ТIt is remarkable that Kursk NPP should organize the events of the kind regularly, the more under the aegis of the ecologic marathon called ТGreen Belt of Atomic CitiesУ, a representative of KNPP youth organization Dmitry Sinichka thinks. ТIndeed, we are surrounded with a green belt that protects the city, decorates and ennobles it. It is pleasant that the present and former employees of the city-forming enterprise take part in the accrual of this green wealth, which inevitably contributes to the group rallying and creates a team spiritУ.

ТIt is not the first time I have participated in the ecologic action and I am glad to realize that our city is getting cleaner and better, among them owing to Kursk NPPУ, Denis Kisser, a worker of the department of Heat Automation and Measurements says. ТIt is a great honor for me to work with the plant veterans, here the connection of generations, which is simply necessary to us young, can be followedУ.

ТGreen Belt of Atomic CitiesУ and the present ecologic action held under its aegis is an excellent project where several generations of atomists take partУ, Chairman of Veteran Department Organization (AER) Lyubov Rusinchuk underlines. ТOur challenge is not only to make the city green, but also to save what we have. And the plant veteransХ and the youthХs cooperation is a regular continuity of different generations of the people working at our enterprise. The fact that the ecologic action took part on the eve of a great holiday, the Victory Day, is also a symbolic oneУ.
