The seminar via videoconference, which links all city locations of the Russian NPPs with the central office of the Concern ЗRosenergoatom", was first held on 18 November at the Balakovo NPP.

It was organized by the ЗRosenergoatom Concern" jointly with non-governmental Ecological Vernadsky Foundation for employees of educational institutions of the city and district of Balakovo.

The selected format will significantly expand the audience of the seminar - from only Balakovo it involved more than 30 people, including teacher of physics and ecology.

Chief engineer of the Balakovo NPP, Acting Director Valery Bessonov, welcoming the participants, spoke about the place of the Balakovo NPP in the power of the country, the technological features of the power units, performance of work, the level of security and development prospects of the nuclear plant.

He talked about the contribution of the Balakovo nuclear power plant in the socio-economic development of the region. "Thanks to an agreement between the Corporation Rosatom and the Government of the Saratov region, it was managed to build the only in the region Child Development Center in Balakovo, enter the category of the existing four kindergartens, repair a number of main roads. This fall, a new agreement for a sum of money significantly exceeds the allotted last year ", - said the Deputy Director of Personnel Management at the Balakovo NPP Viktor Basov.

Teachers attended lectures and received practical advice, on how to build a lesson about "peaceful atomИ, so that he was not only a knowledge-intensive, but fun, learnt about the programs of additional education of the Environmental Department of the Russian Peoples' Friendship University, and more.

Seminar for us was not only the opportunity to obtain new information about nuclear power, but also to grow professionally, "- said the ecology teacher from the high school ?25 in Balakovo Olga Kondakova.

I teach physics in classes with intensive study of the subject, so the seminar for me was very useful. "

By the end of the webinar teachers were awarded certificates of the non-governmental environmental fund named after V.I. Vernadsky and environmental science faculty of RUNF.
Already on 25 November the Balakovo NPP is again awaiting for guests - same webinar will be held for doctors of the Balakovo district.
