The basement of turbine was concreted at the power unit ?2 on the eve of the new year at the construction site of capacity replacement, it became one of the key events in December. Concrete method allowed to put 1400 cubic meters of concrete into the pavement. The works were done at the level 16.0 of the turbine building.

Period of achievement of concreteХs design strength is 90 days, considering the fact, that the concreting was carried out in winter conditions. Start of the installation of the turbine will be made in April 2015 in accordance with the schedule of construction.

Turbine foundation, based on installed systems of spring units, is an important structural element of the building and is designed to provide low vibration of the turbine house at the operating frequency, reduce the transmission of vibration to adjacent structures and provide to earthquake resistance.

End of concreting of turbine foundation is one of the final stages at the construction site of the turbine building. The next step will be the installation of the main technological equipment - installation of turbine generator K-1200-68 / 50 of the second power.

Construction of the Leningrad NPP-2 is part of a long-term program of activities of the State Corporation "Rosatom". Customer-developer of the project is the JSC "Concern Rosenergoatom".
