Newest, most powerful in Russia nuclear reactor of Novovoronezh NPP has released first electricity to the grid
On the 5th of August 2016, the innovative power unit of Generation III+ at Novovoronezh NPP has been connected to the national grid and produced first 240 MW of electricity. At 03 hours 35 minutes (MSK) one of the most important and critical operations at the stage of the first power was carried out at Unit 6’s VVER-1200, i.e. the first trial switching of the generator to the grid was successfully made.
On the 5th of August 2016, the innovative power unit of Generation III+ at Novovoronezh NPP has been connected to the national grid and produced first 240 MW of electricity. The cooling pond racks at the Leningrad NPP 1st power block under construction have been fully assembled. The team of the Assembling and Construction department No.90 have installed all 12 rectangular metal sets weighing over 18 tons each at their designed spots in the cooling pond and fixed them at the supporting structures welded into the floor inserts.

The Leningrad NPP: the last equipment for chemically demineralized water production as per design has been delivered to the construction area
Several containers of concentrate for chemically demineralized water treatment ultrafiltration have been delivered to the Leningrad NPP construction area. Two units of vessels with the total weight of around 10 tons and the volume of 63 cubic meters each were manufactured by the Votkinsky zavod and transported to the Leningrad NPP in special vehicles.
