Balakovo and Zaporizhia NPPs: Cooperation to Be Continued
Yesterday, on August 28, the official delegation of Zaporizhia nuclear power plant led by its General Director, Vyacheslav Tischenko, paid a visit to Balakovo NPP. The Ukrainian colleagues arrived to sign a new agreement on cooperation between the plants. This agreement, as well as the previous one, is for five years.

Rostov NPP: Plant Director Congratulates Volgodonsk Citizen Yulia Yefimova – Olympic Bronze Medalist
On August 27, 2012 in the conference hall of the Administration of Volgodonsk, there took place a ceremony of honoring of the Russian swimmer, Yulia Yefimova. The pupil of Volgodonsk sport added another bronze medal to the Russian team’s collection at XXX Olympic Games in London in the 200 m breast stroke swimming race.

Rostov NPP: Completion of VI Children and Youth Sports Festival “NPP Junior-Sports-2012” for Prizes of Rosenergoatom Concern OJSC
On August 24, 2012 a solemn closing of VI Children and Youth Sports Festival “NPP Junior-Sports-2012” for prizes of Rosenergoatom Concern OJSC took place on the Victory square, Volgodonsk. The festival was dedicated to the 20th anniversary of the Concern Rosenergoatom and 75th anniversary of the Rostov region.

Saratov Mass Media Journalists Visit Balakovo NPP Information Centre
On August 24 the Saratov region mass media representatives visited the Information Centre of the nuclear power plant in preparation for the celebration of the 250th anniversary of Balakovo city. The group of journalists was accompanied by employees of the regional Ministry of Industry and Energy.

On August 22, 2012 the Information Centre of Rostov NPP held a training seminar for trade union activists of the primary trade union organization of the nuclear power plant.

Smolensk NPP: Meeting on Safety of Hydraulic Engineering Structures of Russian NPPs
On August 22-23 at Smolensk NPP there was held an annual meeting on issues of safe operation of hydraulic engineering structures (HES) of nuclear power plants of Russia. It was attended by representatives of the Technology Department of Rosenergoatom Concern OJSC, heads and specialists of hydraulic services of operating NPPs and those under construction, as well as contracting organizations.

Rostov NPP: TV Journalists Viewed Process of Scheduled Outage
For the first time Rostov and Volgodonsk television journalists viewed the process of the scheduled outage (PPR) of Rostov NPP Unit 1. Reporters of television companies GTRK Don-TR (Rostov-on-Don), TNT-Volgodonsk and ANK (Volgodonsk) visited the very heart of the unit – reactor compartment.
