The traditional public presentation of “The 2015 environmental safety report” took place at the Balakovo NPP information center, with the representatives of the environment protection organizations, the local public authorities’ deputy corps, the Public council under the auspices of the head of local administration, the Specialized Medical Center of the 156 Medical Unit management, and the most popular Balakovo mass media attending the meeting.

35 Turkish 4th-year students of the Obninsk Nuclear Power Institute (NIAU MIFI) have completed their on-the-job training at the Novovoronezh NPP. For 2 weeks, the nuclear power engineers-to-be mastered the reactor unit systems of the innovative 6th power block with a VVER-1200 reactor.

Over 200 people from seven Russian regions will take part in the interregional “Peaceful Atom 2016” student construction campaign. 13 construction brigades representing universities of the Voronezh, Kemerovo, Arkhangelsk, Orenburg, Tomsk, Kaluga, and Moscow regions have already arrived to the Novovoronezh NPP power blocks construction site. The event was officially launched on July 6, 2016.

During the period of 2016-2027, the investments into the Kursk NPP power blocks’ safe operation management will be 32.5 billion rubles. In 2006-2015, the amount of investments into the safe operation management and the corporate development facilities’ construction exceeded the number of 39.77 billion rubles. In 2015, catering for safe and reliable operations of the power blocks cost 4625.19 million rubles.
