In the satellite city of Smolensk nuclear power plant – Desnogorsk – on basis of School 1, there was opened a work and holiday summer camp for high school students of the city.

In the first Desnogorsk community there was finished a reconstruction of the basketball court. Such a gift to the residents of the city was made by Smolensk NPP, the activities of which is a sample of social responsibility.

Greek Clergies Visit Leningrad NPP
On July 9, 2012 within the frame of twin-city relations between the cities Sosnovy Bor and Alexandroupolis (The Greek Republic), Leningrad NPP was visited by the Greek Metropolitan Anthimus accompanied by two ecclesiastical persons, Consul General of the Russian Federation in Salonika - Alexey Popov, and Demarche of Alexandroupolis - Evangilos Lampakis.

Rostov NPP Construction Site is Given Status of Main Platform of All-Russian StudentsХ Construction
On July 6, 2012 in Volgodonsk, on the construction site of Power Units 3 and 4 of Rostov NPP, there took place an official opening of the Students’ Construction. More than 200 students from students’ brigades of the Rostov region universities (Volgodonsk, Novocherkassk, Zernograd), as well as of universities of other regions of Russia (Nizhny Novgorod and Kostroma) will work here.

Beloyarsk NPP in June Generates Over 200.8 Million kWh of Electric Energy
From June 9 to 30, 2012 BN-600 unit, Beloyarsk NPP, generated 200.81 million kWh. Prior to June 9, 2012 electric energy has not been generated due to implementation of new activities: fuel replacement, technical maintenance and equipment reparation

American Company IHS CERA Visits Novovoronezh NPP
On July 5, 2012 Novovoronezh NPP was visited by the representatives of the American Consulting Company IHS CERA. The purpose of the visit was learning the basic principles of operation and construction of NPPs on the Russian design. Members of the staff of the Directorate for Nuclear Park Complex of Rosatom State Corporation accompanied the guests in the working trip.

DQS Highly Appreciate PlantХs EMS Efficiency
From July 2 to 6, 2012 Kursk Nuclear Power Plant, a branch of Rosenergoatom Concern OJSC, passed the 2nd surveillance audit of the environmental management system (EMS) for the compliance with the requirements of the national standard of the Russian Federation GOST R ISO 14001-2007, and the certification audit for the compliance of EMS with the requirements of the international standard MS ISO 14001:2004.

Balakovo NPP First Recognized as Leader of High Technology in Health and Environment Protection
Balakovo NPP has become the owner of one more – a new award in the field of ecology.
