It signifies the start of the full-scale commissioning works at power unit No 1 under construction, and is carried out in order to confirm its reliable and safe operation.

Russian NPPs (branches of Rosenergoatom Concern) in the first quarter of 2017 increased their total electric energy generation by 5.89% or by 3.06 billion kWh compared to the same period last year.

In 2016 Russian nuclear power plants (branch companies of Rosenegoatom Concern JSC) exceeded the achievement of 2015 in amount of generated electric energy, expanding the overall generation by more than a billion – up to 196.366 billion kWh as opposed to 195.213 billion kWh of the previous year.

Rosenergoatom: The Act of readiness of floating NPP for nuclear fuel loading is signed
On 26 December, 2016 the Act of readiness of shipbuilding company Baltiysky Zavod – Sudostroyeniye LLC and floating nuclear power unit (FPU) Akademik Lomonosov for nuclear fuel loading was signed. The Act has been approved by Alexey Kadilov, the General Director of the Baltiysky Zavod – Sudostroyeniye LLC plant. During the first half of 2017 it is planned to load nuclear fuel and physically start up the floating power unit.
