Russian NPPs increased power generation by 3.3% in 11 months and prevented over 100 million tons of greenhouse gas emissions
Russian nuclear power plants (branches of Rosenergoatom, Electric Power Division of Rosatom) increased power generation by 3.3% for eleven months of 2021 compared to the same period in 2020.
Thanks to the operation of the nuclear power plant, during this time, they prevented emissions of more than 100 million tons of greenhouse gases into the atmospheric air.
The generation for January-November of this year is almost 201.4 billion kilowatt-hours, which is 2.52% higher than the balance target of the Federal Antimonopoly Service (FAS) of Russia.
Electricity generation at NPPs in excess of the FAS balance target for this period amounted to 4.945 billion kWh.
