Awarding ceremony for the "Rosatom Man of the Year 2014" winners in the Maly Theater branch in Moscow on March 26, 2015
 
The team of experts, headed by the director of the Rostov NPP Andrey Salnikov, became the winner in the most prestigious special category of the "Rosatom" General Director "Victory of the Year". It also included the Rostov NPP Chief Engineer Alexey Zhukov, the Deputy Director for the Rostov NPP capital construction Alexei Fedotov, the Head of the Department for scientific management of NPPs launch with VVER JSC "RRINPO" Victor Tereshonok, the Director of "Rostovatomtehenergo" Alexander Vologdin.
 
Speaking about the victory of the A. Salnikov team, Sergei Kiriyenko, said: "Our reputation in the world depends on the ability to build complex objects in the nuclear industry just in time and in an established estimate. This was demonstrated by the combined team of the Rostov NPP and ASE-NIAEP that (beyond the plan the Rostov-3 had to be started only in 2015) launched it earlier in 2014 and even with the estimates savings".
 
In the special category "Efficiency" team won the Deputy General Director, the Director for production and operation of nuclear power plants at the "Rosenergoatom" Alexander Shutikov. It includes also the Chief engineer of the Balakovo NPP Valery Bessonov, the Deputy chief engineer for repair at the Balakovo NPP Eugene Sobolev; the Director of the "Balakovoatomenergoremont" (subsidiary of the JSC "Concern Rosenergoatom") Anatoly Burlakov, the Chief engineer of the "Balakovoatomenergoremont" Alexey Bogatov, the Senior technician of technology systems RTO at the "Balakovoatomenergoremont" Alexander Shabalin and the Section chief for special works at the "Balakovoatomenergoremont" Roman Solovyev. A. Shutikov team was awarded for the reduction of time spent for turbine condenser replacement at the Balakovo NPP power unit №4.
 
Divisional winners at the "Rosenergoatom", its affiliates and subsidiaries are: dosimeter specialist at the Radiation Safety Department of the Balakovo NPP Vyacheslav Klimov; laboratory chemical analysis specialist of the 7th discharge at the Balakovo NPP Tatiana Sadovnikova; the senior operator of the reactor compartment at the Kolskaya NPP Sergey Tsymlyakov; the driver lineman of turbine equipment of the 7th discharge at the Beloyarsk NPP Alex Pechёrkin; electrician repair specialist of relay protection and automation at the Smolensk NPP Oleg Shamarov.
 
In general corporate nominations won also: the Head of the Information and Public Relations Department of the Leningrad NPP Sergey Zakharkov (nominated for "mass media and internal communications management"), the Chief specialist of information and communication technologies at the Balakovo NPP Anatoly Muraviev (nominated for "Information technology management") and leading specialist for staff development at the Smolensk NPP Marina Shindina (nominated for "Human Resource Management»).

The contest "Rosatom Man of the Year" is aimed at the recognition of the best workers merits in the industry and includes over 50 nominations in three key areas: occupational, general corporate and special categories. This year, the general director of the State Corporation "Rosatom" Sergey Kiriyenko also established five special nominations to encourage individual and collective achievements of workers. They are: "One step ahead" (for the creation of a product or solution, outpacing competitors' offers and providing tangible breakthrough in the market); "Efficiency" (for achieving maximum results with the least expenditure of resources); "Victory of the Year" (for surpassing expectations of the project, which has had a significant impact on the development of the industry division, function); "Mentor of the Year" (for the largest number of workers trained under the tutelage of the candidate and achieving measurable success in 2014); "Rising Star" (for workers under the age of 30 years and who have been working in the industry less than three years). Applications for participation in the competition in 2014 filed 1012 people, a third more than last time. In the end, in total 123 people became winners.
 
Kiriyenko in his speech thanked all the winners for their hard work, professionalism and dedication. "Each of you is doing more than it is necessary under the instructions. This is distinction of our industry. This year we are proud to meet its 70th birthday. I want to thank all your family members - you rightfully share this award and you have taken part in the work that had been done," - he said.
