On June 22, 2011 North-West Regional Department of EMERCOM of Russia holds a scheduled meeting of Heads of Radiation, Chemical and Biological Safety of all Russian district centres (North-West, Central, Ural, South, Volga, Siberian, Far East district centres) on civil defense affairs, emergency situations and elimination of natural disasters’ consequences on the basis of Leningrad power plant.

Rostov NPP workers have taken part in the festival of bard songs called “Strings of Soul”
On June 15-17, 2011 XIII interregional festival of bard songs called “Strings of Soul” was held in Romanov Cossack village of Volgodonsk district. It is a bright and full-scale event in the culture life of Rostov region. Rostov NPP was among the festival founders.

A scheduled fire-protection drill has been held at Novovoronezh NPP
On June 17, 2011 a scheduled emergency drill of the personnel, aimed at the inspection of the readiness of the forces and fire-fighting means of both the fire fighting units, guarding the nuclear plant and the city, and the NPP special subdivisions, was held at Novovoronezh NPP.

Kola NPP: turbine generator TG-6 of power unit No. 3 has been connected to the grid
On June 19 at 07:17 p.m. TG-6 of Kola NPP power unit No. 3 was connected to the grid.

Leningrad NPP: power unit No. 2 has been shutdown for scheduled preventive repair
Due to the schedule of repair campaign, on June 18 at 12:30 a.m. power unit No. 2 of Leningrad NPP was shutdown for scheduled preventive repair. The shutdown had been performed in accordance with the technological schedule of power units’ safe operation.

Balakovo NPP: power unit No. 3 has been connected to the grid
On June 20, 2011 at 12:49 a.m. power unit No. 3 of Balakovo NPP was connected to the grid after replacement of temperature sensor of one of the unit transformer. The power unit start-up was held in strict compliance with the operation schedule.
