Public Information Centre of Rostov NPP
On July, 2011 the twenty-first meeting of the control headquarters on construction of Rostov NPP power units Nos. 3 and 4 was held under the chairmanship of Rostov NPP Director Alexander Palamarchuk, representing the customer’s party, and Director of subcontracting organization Nizhny Novgorod engineering company Atomenergoproyekt OJSC (NIAEP OJSC) Valery Limarenko.
The headquarters members summarized the work results for the half year and assigned tasks for the next period.
Opening the meeting, NIAEP OJSC Director Valery Limarenko said that the word of the State Corporation Rosatom Head was the company’s flag. And it, in fact, has become the bearing and determined the headquarters work stream: there should not be any deviations from the schedule and construction plans in the new power unit construction, which were approved by the Rosatom Head.
In the short term the major task on power unit No 3 is installation of the enclosure vessel second level up to the mark of 55.6; and on power unit No 4 - the reactor compartment overlap device on the mark of 00.0.
The personnel total number, involved in the power unit construction, is 4,266 people on power unit No 3 and 525 people on power unit No 4.
During the headquarters meeting SMU – 1 and Trest RosSEM LLC Heads got the task to increase the employee’s number, involved in the power unit construction.
During the headquarters meeting the main contracting organization heads’ reports about the work execution progress were read off with account of the Rosatom Production System introduction at the site. Within the frame work of construction execution plan (PSR) 5 pilot projects are being implemented: work safety management system (HSEMS), electronic document management, 6-D field engineering, purchase and supply management from conclusion of a contract to the initial control, equipment, materials and documentation bar-coding.
Special attention was paid to the equipment supply quality and terms. Rostov NPP Director Alexander Palamarchuk as the ordering customer demanded precise execution of schedules.
The next headquarters meeting will be held in a month.
Rostov NPP is a branch of Rosenergoatom Concern OJSC. The nuclear power plant is located on the bank of the Tsimlyansk Reservoir 13.5 km far from Volgodonsk city. The nuclear power plants operates two power units with VVER-1000-type pressurized water reactors of installed capacity equal to 1,000 MW. Power unit No.1 was put into commercial operation in 2001, power units No. 2 - in December of 2010. The power units Nos. 3 and 4 are under construction at the moment.
