Povarov Vladimir Petrovich
Povarov Vladimir Petrovich was born in the village of Paroturbiny, Pap district, Namangan region, Uzbekistan, in 1957. In 1980 he graduated from Thermal Physics Department of Moscow Power Engineering Institute. In 1979–1986 Povarov was operator of experimental stands, engineer, junior researcher of Research Institute of Nuclear Reactors (Dimitrovgrad, Ulyanovsk region). In 1986–1998 Povarov was senior engineer, head of the nuclear physics laboratory, head of the Nuclear Safety Department of the Directorate for the Construction of Rostov NPP of the Ministry of Energy of USSR (Volgodonsk, Rostov region). In 1998-2001 he was deputy chief engineer for nuclear safety of the Directorate for the Construction of Rostov NPP of the Ministry of Atomic Energy of Russia (Volgodonsk, Rostov region). Sept 2001-Feb 2008 he was deputy chief engineer for safety of the branch of Rosenergoatom Concern, Volgodonsk NPP (Volgodonsk, Rostov region). From Feb 2008 till the appointment as Acting Deputy Director-Director of Novovoronezh NPP (Jan 12 2009), Povarov was the first deputy director of the branch of Rosenergoatom Concern (starting from Sept 2008 – Energoatom Concern), Novovoronezh NPP (Novovoronezh, Voronezh region). Povarov is Candidate of Technical Sciences.
He has been granted certificates of the Ministry of Atomic Energy of Russia and the Central Committee of the Trade Union of Nuclear Workers, medal of the Order for Services to Fatherland, 2nd class, silver medal of Energoatom Concern for contribution to the safety of nuclear power plants, letter of gratitude of the head of the Federal Agency for Nuclear Energy Sergey Kiriyenko (presently, Director General of Rosatom State Nuclear Energy Corporation). Povarov is laureate of the Best Achievements in Nuclear Power Engineering contest. |
