Oshkanov Nikolay Nikolayevich

Deputy Director General-Director of Beloyarsk Nuclear Power Plant.

Nikolay Nikolayevich Oshkanov was born in Kudymkar, Perm region, in 1944.

In 1967 he graduated from the “Radio-Physics and Electronics” Department of Perm State University.

In 1967-1972 he was engineer, head of laboratory at F.E.Dzerzhinsky Machine Building Plant (Perm).

In 1972-2002 he was senior engineer of state inspection, the deputy head of the thermal automatics and measurements department, the deputy chief engineer for the operation of the 1st and 2nd units, the chief engineer of Beloyarsk NPP (Zarechny, Sverdlovsk region).
 
Since 2002 Oshkanov has been the Acting Director, the Deputy Director General of “Rosenergoatom”-the Director of Beloyarsk NPP.

Oskanov has been awarded the Medal “For Valiant Labor,” the Order of “Friendship Among Nations”, “Rosenergoatom”’s Medal “For Contribution to NPP Safety Enhancement” and the Certificate of Merit of the Ministry of Atomic Energy of the Russian Federation.

He is the laureate of the State Prize of the Russian Federation, the Honored Power Engineer of the Russian Federation.
