Obozov Sergey Aleksandrovich

Director General of Rosenergoatom Concern OJSC-Deputy Director of Atomenergoprom OJSC

Obozov Sergey Aleksandrovich was born in Pavlovo (Nizhniy Novgorod region) on Sept 18, 1960.

In 1984 he graduated from Gorky Polytechnic Institute, in 1994 – from the State Academy of People’s Economy and Volgo-Viatsk Civil Service Academy. He is Doctor of Science, Economics.

In 1986-1987 Obozov was the Deputy Secretary of the Komsomol Committee of the “Krasnoye Sormovo” plant; in 1987-1988 – the Secretary of the Komsomol Committee of the “Krasnoye Sormovo” plant.

In 1988-1990 Obozov was the First Secretary of the Sormovo Komsomol District Committee of Nizhniy Novgorod, in 1990-1992 – the Vice Chairman of the Sormovo District Council of People’s Deputies; in 1992-1996 – the Deputy Head of the Sormovo Administration, in 1996-1999 – the Deputy Head of the Nizhniy Novgorod Administration, the Director of the Economy and Planning Department of the Nizhniy Novgorod Administration.

In 1999-2000 Obozov was the President of “Volga Oil Company” OJSC; in 2000 – the First Deputy Director General for Economy and Planning of “Sibur-Neftehim” OJSC.

In 2000-2001 Obozov was the Chief Federal Inspector in Nizhniy Novgorod region; Apr 12-Aug 9, 2001 - the Head of the Government of Nizhniy Novgorod region. Sept 2001-Dec 29, 2005, he was the assistant of the representative of the President to Volga Federal District.

In Dec 2005 Obozov was appointed as the Deputy Director General of Energoatom Concern OJSC (Rosenergoatom Concern FSUE, before corporization) Concern-the Director of the “Floating NPP Department.”

On Mar 15, 2006, the Head of the Federal Agency for Nuclear Energy Sergey Kiriyenko appointed Obozov as the Acting Director General of Energoatom Concern OJSC (Rosenergoatom Concern FSUE, before corporization)

In Sept 2006 Obozov was appointed as the Director General of FSUE “Russian State Concern for the Production of Electrical and Thermal Power at Nuclear Power Plants' Energoatom Concern OJSC (Rosenergoatom Concern FSUE, before corporization)

In July 2007 he was appointed as Deputy Director of Atomic Energy Power Corporation (Atomenergoprom) OJSC.

In June 2008 Obozov was appointed as Director General of Rosenergoatom Concern (after reorganization – Energoatom Concern). At the same time, he preserved the position of Deputy Director of Atomenergoprom OJSC.
