Martynovchenko Leonid IvanovichDeputy Director General-Director of Kalinin Nuclear Power Plant
Leonid Martynovchenko was born in Novodaryevka, Voroshilovgrad region, on Jan 7 1947.
In 1970 he graduated from Nuclear Power Plants Department of Leningrad Polytechnic Institute.
After graduation he was employed with Kranoyarsk Mining Chemical Combine. In 1975-1985 he worked at Kursk NPP. His last position there was deputy chief engineer for operation of the 1 st and 2nd units.
In 1991 Martynovchenko was appointed as the head of the chief department of the Committee on State Control of Safety in the Nuclear Industry of the Cabinet of Minister of the USSR.
In 1991-1992 he was the deputy director of Likvid, Moscow office of Chernobyl Union.
In 1992 Martynovchenko was employed with Rosenergoatom Concern and worked in the central office of the Concern. In 2003 he was appointed as the deputy general inspector of the Concern.
In Mar 2007 Martynovchenko was appointed as director of Kalinin NPP
Martynovchenko has been awarded Medal of Order “For Service to Fatherland” 2 nd class, gold and silver medals of Rosenergoatom Concern “For Contribution to Enhancement of Safety of Nuclear Power Plants.” He is Veteran of Nuclear Industry.
