Kopyev Yuri Vladimirovich

 Acting Deputy Director General-Technical Director

Kopyev Yuri Vladimirovich was born in Weiman, Germany, Mar 13 1949.

In 1972 he graduated from Power Systems Department of Tomsk Polytechnic Institute.

In 1972-1979 he was engineer, senior engineer, mechanic of Leninsky Komsomol Plant in Komsomolsk-on-Amur.

In 1979-1987 Kopyev worked at South Ukrainian Nuclear Power Plant: from shift manager of the reactor department to deputy chief engineer for start-up operations.

In 1987-1992 he held different positions at Ministry of Atomic Energy and Ministry of Atomic Energy and Industry of USSR.

Since 1992 Kopyev has worked at Rosenergoatom Concern (presently Energoatom Concern). He was director for NPP operation and first deputy technical director.

Sept 9 2008 Kopyev was appointed as Acting Director General-Technical Director of Energoatom Concern.

Kopyev has a number of government awards:

• Honorary Title of Veteran of Nuclear Power Industry, 2002
• Certificate of Honor of the Ministry of Atomic Energy of Russia, 2004

• Medal of Rosenergoatom Concern – 50 Years of Nuclear Industry of Russia, 2005.
• Letters of gratitude of the Government of Russia, 2005 and 2007
• Academician I.Kurchatov Badge, 4th Class.
