Ignatov Viktor Igorevich

Deputy Director General-Director of Balakovo Nuclear Power Plant

Viktor Igorevich Ignatov was born in Komsomolsky, Tisul district, Kemerovo region on May 2, 1951. In 1976 he graduated from Nuclear Power Plants Department of Tomsk Polytechnic Institute.

After graduation Ignatov worked at Kola, South Ukrainian and Khmelnitsky NPPs. In July 1990 he was appointed as Chief Engineer of Balakovo NPP.

Ignatov has been awarded the Order of Friendship Among Nations (1994), Medal “For Services to Fatherland” II class (2001), Silver Medal of Rosenergoatom Concern “For Contribution to the Enhancement of the Safety of Nuclear Power Plant” (1997), award of the Government of the Russian Federation in the field of science and engineering (2002). Ignatov is Veteran of Nuclear Power Industry.
