Rosatom Technical Academy: Russia IAEA Nuclear Energy Management School for Managers in Nuclear Organizations will be held within the framework of the Forum ATOMEXPO-2019

From April 15 to 19, the Russia-IAEA Nuclear Energy Management School for Managers in Nuclear Organizations will be held at the site of the XI International Forum ATOMEXPO-2019 in Sochi.

Rosatom Technical Academy organizes the event on the part of State Atomic Energy Corporation «Rosatom».

The School is focused on helping middle and senior managers in the nuclear industry to develop managerial and technical competencies that are essential for the development or expansion of national nuclear power programmes.

The event will be attended by representatives of more than 30 IAEA Member States.

During the School, delegates will get acquainted with the practice of resolving issues related to various aspects of implementing national nuclear energy programmes, will take part in a series of thematic sessions, including lectures and practical exercises, will visit the exhibition of advanced nuclear technologies and other Forum events.

Last year, the School was opened in May at the site of International Forum ATOMEXPO-2018. The IAEA Director General, Mr Yukiya Amano, and the Director General of the State Atomic Energy Corporation “Rosatom”, Mr Alexey Likhachev took part in the opening ceremony. The school addressed issues of nuclear infrastructure development, safety culture management, advances in reactor technology and nuclear knowledge management. The second part of the School was held at the premises of St. Petersburg branch of the Rosatom Technical Academy, where participants got acquainted with the full-scale VVER-1200 simulator and visited the site of the Leningrad NPP.
