Novovoronezh NPP: the representatives of Paks (Hungary) Mayor’s Office visited the town of nuclear specialists

The visit of Hungarian delegation to Novovoronezh was held as the part of the Memorandum according which Novovoronezh and Paks became the sister cities. The document was signed by the Russian fund “Association of the location areas of NPPs”* and the Hungarian “Social Control and Informative Association” (TEIT) in 2015. The parties expressed the wish to exchange experience with regard to the interaction of executive bodies of local authorities at the location areas of the NPPs.

During the three-day visit the foreign guests visited the observation site of new power unit of Novovoronezh NPP, the Training Centre (TC) where the Russian and foreign nuclear specialists undergo their training and improve their qualification. During the sightseeing tour in the town of nuclear specialists Hungarian delegation visited the main social and sports facilities.

“We liked Novovoronezh very much, it is neat, beautiful and compact”, the main financial expert of Paks Mayor’s Office Haaz Adamne shared her impressions. “We are fine about the fact that we’ll have new power units in our town. The construction of the NPP means the town development, and this is the most important for us.”

In the Town Duma the meeting with the representative of the town authority and public organization of Novovoronezh was held in the form of the round table.

“I am glad that after a long break we communicate as actively as earlier”, the Novovoronezh Head Nikolay Netyaga greeted the guests. “And if previously only nuclear specialists communicate with one another, now we have friendly relationship between cities.”

“Our main purpose is to adopt the best practices in financial and legal issues from our Novovoronezh colleagues”, Haaz Adamne said. “We’ve taken photos of everything we’ve seen today and even made notes of some moments interesting for us.
