“Atom- housing and public utilities. Polyarnye Zori” has started its work in the city of Kola nuclear scientists

A new management company called “Atom- housing and public utilities. Polyarnye Zori” has started its work in Polyarnye Zori city. This information was provided by representative of Rosenergoatom Concern OJSC – General Director of AtomTeploElektroSet Ivan Stukalov.

“In view of the difficult situation with Polyarnye Zori utilities Rosenergoatom decided to establish its own company for city housing utilities management”, he explained. “The management company has been registered in the territory of the municipality, conclusion of contracts with accommodation owners has been started”.

Ivan Stukalov emphasized that at the initial stage the prosperity of the undertaking to a large extent depended on the active position of the dwellers themselves who had to take part in selection of a new management company. The reason for its establishment with the participation of Rosenergoatom Concern was numerous interruptions in heat and water supply of the city on the part of Teplovodosnabzheniye OJSC during the heating season.

This is not the Concern principal line of activity. Still the Concern has gained positive experience of work in the sphere of housing and public utilities in other satellite cities. “We must provide stable and comfortable conditions for plant employees living in Polyarnye Zori, and we’ll make every effort to achieve this goal”, Director of Kola NPP Vasily Omelchuk said.

Kola NPP is a branch of Rosenergoatom Concern OJSC. The plant is located 200 km to the south of Murmansk on the bank of Lake Imandra. It generates about 60% of electric power of Murmansk region.
