The Leningrad NPP win in providing electricity for Petersburg and Leningrad region for 9 months in 2014 has been 52.8%

The Leningrad NPP win to the preliminary data has been 44.94% in the regional volume of electricity in January-September 2014; share in the real volume of supplies to consumers - 52.79%.

According to the operative data of the branch JSC "SO UES", "Regional dispatch control power systems in St. Petersburg and the Leningrad region", the consumption of electricity in the region for the first 9 months of 2014 has amounted to 31 billion 500.2 million kWh, which is 1.0% more than the corresponding figure for the same period of 2013. In this case, the Leningrad Nuclear Power Plant (branch of the JSC "Concern Rosenergoatom", Leningrad region) has released into the grid 16 billion 631 million kWh during the reporting period.

Electricity generation has amounted to 40 billion 145.5 million kWh of electricity, which is 3.6% more than in the same period of 2013, by power energy systems in St. Petersburg and Leningrad region, January-September 2014. In this case, the Leningrad NPP has produced during the reporting period 18.04 billion kWh of electricity

There are power units ? 1, 3 and 4 in work at the moment at the Leningrad NPP, whichload constitutes 2900 MW according to the dispatcher operation schedule. The program of reactor facility resource characteristics recovery is being continued at the second power unit.

The radiation background on an industrial platform of the Leningrad nuclear power plant, in the city Pine Pine Forest and the surrounding territory hasn't changed and corresponds to natural values.

The Leningrad nuclear power plant is JSC "Rosenergoatom Concern" branch. The station is located in the city Pine Pine forest, in 80 km to the west of St. Petersburg on the bank of the Finland Gulf. The Leningrad NPP is the country's first station with RBMK-1000 reactors (uranium - graphite nuclear reactors of channel type on thermal neutrons). 4 power units by electric capacity of 1000 MWt everyone are operating on the nuclear power plant.

Current information about a radiation situation near the nuclear power plant in Russia and other objects of the nuclear industry is provided on a site www.russianatom.ru.
