Leningrad NPP: in January 2011, the commodity output volumes were increased by 19.2%

The expected value of the commodity output of Leningrad NPP (branch of Rosenergoatom Concern OJSC) obtained from electric and thermal power production in January, 2011 amounted to 3 billion 245.3 million rubles (the similar value in January, 2010 amounted to 2 billion 723.5 million rubles).

On December 17, 2010, ТMarket CouncilУ NP - the Nonprofit Partnership Supervisory Board adopted the ТProvisional Rules on Electric Energy and Power Sales in the wholesale market in January-March 2011У, whereby the actual data about electric power commodity output in January 2011 will be presented in the middle of March 2011.

The expected growth of the commodity output volumes of Leningrad NPP in January 2011 in comparison with the similar period of the previous year was equal to 19.2%. That was provided by a positive pricing environment developed in the wholesale market for electricity and power, in comparison with the base period.

Financial and economic service of Leningrad NPP sends this data to the Government of Leningrad region.

It is also noted in the report that in January 2011 the average number of the nuclear plant personnel amounted to 5,000 people; 4,836 of which were industrial production personnel (in January 2010 5,448 and 5,171 people respectively). The average monthly salary of Leningrad NPP employees for the accounting period was equal to 44,786.2 rubles (in January 2010 Р 34,107.8 rubles).

In January 2011, Leningrad NPP transferred 51.5 million rubles into the budget and extra-budgetary social funds, for the accounting period there was transferred: 21.6 million rubles to Leningrad region budget, 9.2 million rubles to the local budget, and 17.9 million rubles to Russian Pension Fund.

Leningrad NPP is a branch of Rosenergoatom Concern OJSC, 100% shares of which are owned by Atomenergoprom OJSC. The plant is located on the bank of the Gulf of Finland in Sosnovy Bor city, 80 km to the west of Saint Petersburg. LNPP was the first in the country to operate RBMK-1000 reactors (graphite-uranium pressure-tube thermal reactors). The NPP operates 4 power units with electric capacity of 1,000 MW each.

In 2010 Leningrad NPP produced 27.553 billion KWh of electric power and transferred to the system 25.289 billion KWh (in 2009 Р 26.486 billion KWh and 24.239 billion KWh respectively). In 2010 the annual capacity factor was equal to 78.63% (in 2008 Р 75.59%).

The commodity output volume from electric and thermal power production of Leningrad NPP in 2010 was equal to 3 billion 663.3 million rubles or 118.8% of the similar value in 2009.
