Leningrad NPP is for the first time preparing to welcome Rosenergoatom Concern OJSC employees - the participants of Sport NPP - 2011 winter championship that will be held from February 14 to 18 on the territory of Leningrad region. Ten teams from the nuclear plants and central office of Rosenergoatom Concern will take part in the championship.

This year Rosenergoatom Concern Administration entrusted the organization of the winter championship to LNPP specifically, considering Leningrad atomistsХ great experience in holding branch events of high level and despite the fact that Sosnovy Bor has no sports facilities of their own meeting the requirements to the winter sports.

VI winter championship will be held among all employees of the branches and enterprises of Rosenergoatom Concern in three sport events Р polyathlon, mountain ski and ski race. Upon the whole, 25 starts in team and individual championship will be held according to the program.

Representatives of 15 departments and subdivisions, among them the best sportsmen on the results of corporative, branch, pan-Russian and international competitions of 2010: E. Pluzhnikova (mountain ski), N. Pokrovskaya, D. Semenov, D. Malychev (ski racing and polyathlon) were included in the winter team of Leningrad NPP. Young girls and boys born in 1996-97 living in the cities of nuclear plants location will take part in ski racing as well. 

Besides, competitions in air rifle shooting, press-up (among women) and pull-up (among men) within the framework of the polyathlon program will be held in St. Petersburg on the basis of the Red Dawn sports school.

This year winter championship will be organized at the sports facilities of Priozersk and Vsevolzhsk districts of Leningrad region and St. Petersburg. The Korobitsino village is well known to Sosnovy Bor and Petersbutg mountain ski amateurs. Golden Valley, a mountain ski centre, is located at a 100-kilometer distance from St. Petersburg. 12 lightened trucks of different difficulty levels are presented here, with height varying from 10 to 105 meters and from 80 to 800 meters long. Also here, due to the championship-2011, the truck for ski racing is already being made and rebound. The mountain ski centre has a system of artificial snowmaking that provides the opportunity of making snow at 0Ў ?.
