Kalinin NPP: Musical Evening within the framework of Rosatom Cultural Territory Project

QUESTA MUSICA, a vocal and choral ensemble, appeared in Kalinin nuclear plant Public Information Centre on March 12. The musical evening was held within the framework of Rosatom Cultural Territory project. Young musicians Р P. I. Tchaykovsky Moscow State Conservatory and V. S. Popov Academy of Choral Art graduates and postgraduates presented to Udomlya citizensХ attention the works of Russian and foreign classical music, the contemporary composersХ pieces of music, folk songs and instrumental music transcriptions.

According to Philipp Chizhevsky, the ensemble conductor, Udomlya audience accepted them wonderfully, it is a Тwarm sympathetic public. We were very pleased, we felt the fluids from the hallУ. According to the ensemble participantsХ confession, after the concert they were left with exceptionally sunny, joyful, magnificent impressions! For us, this is the first step of friendship with Rosatom. We would like to believe that in the future we will collaborate with the State Corporation, please the audience, and give them positive feelingsУ.

Not for the first time Kalinin nuclear plant Public Information Centre became the place of events conducted within the framework of Rosatom Cultural Territory project. In 2009, Olga Deineka-Boston, B. Pokrovsky Moscow State Academic Chamber Music Theatre soloist, appeared there. The personal exhibition ТLine of the HorizonУ of Garry Gordon, an artist, poet, prose writer, scriptwriter, was also opened in the Centre. Competitive examination of the local creative group plays took place a year earlier in Udomlya as well. 

Kalinin NPP is a branch of Rosenergoatom Concern OJSC. The plant is situated in the north of Tver region in Udomlya district. Kalinin nuclear power plant comprises three operating power units with pressurized water reactors (VVER-1000) of 1,000 mW capacity each. Power unit No. 4 is under construction now and is to be commissioned in 2011.
