Kalinin NPP: February schedule of electric power production has been fulfilled by 103.1%

In February 2011, Kalinin nuclear plant (Udomlya city, Tver region) fulfilled the scheduled tasks in power production and release with excess.

Thus, in February Kalinin NPP power units produced 2.075 B kWh of electric power (103.1%). 1.991 B kWh of electric power was released to the system. The utilization factor of maximum capacity (UFMC) in February was equal to 102.97% (the schedule was 99.85%).

Totally, in January-February of the current year Kalinin NPP power units produced 4.302 B kWh of electric power (101.5%), 4.121B kWh (102.1%) of electric power was released to the system.

At present, Kalinin NPP operates three power units. 

The radiation situation in the area of Kalinin NPP location and in the adjacent territories corresponds to the normal operation and natural background values.

Kalinin NPP is a branch of Rosenergoatom Concern OJSC. The plant is situated in the north of Tver region in Udomlya district. Kalinin nuclear power plant comprises three operating power units with pressurized water reactors (VVER-1000) of 1,000 mW capacity each. Power unit No. 4 is under construction now and is to be commissioned in 2011.
