The participants presented their research and analytical works in five sections reflecting different aspects of the nuclear power industry: humanitarian, ecological, biomedical, scientific and technology and engineering and technical.

The jury consisted of representatives of nuclear organizations of Zarechny: Beloyarsk NPP, Directorate of Constructed Beloyarsk NPP-2, Reactor Materials Institute as well as a branch of Institute of Ecology of Plants and Animals of Ural Division of Russian Academy of Sciences, Ural Federal University.

According to the competitive hearings results 15 winners were determined (1st,2nd, 3rd places in the respective sections), another 15 participants were distinguished in different categories, two participants got special prizes of the trade union committee and Public Information centre of Beloyarsk NPP, another tenР diplomas of regional representative of Nuclear Academy autonomous noncommercial organization .

During the Readings participants and teachers went on excursion to Beloyarsk NPP and the site of constructed BN-800 power unit.

Beloyarsk NPP was put into operation in April of 1964. This is the first NPP in the nuclear power industry of the country and the only one with reactors of different types at the same site. The first power units of Beloyarsk NPP with the AMB-100 and AMB-200 thermal reactors were shut down becaused they had exhausted their potential. Beloyarsk NPP operates the unique power unit with a fast neutron reactor of industrial power level - BN-600. The BN-800 power unit with a fast neutron reactor is being constructed. The fast neutron power units serve for substantial extension of the fuel base of the nuclear power industry and minimization of radioactive waste due to the closed nuclear fuel cycle.

Timely information about the radiation environment near Russian NPPs and other objects of the nuclear industry is available in the site www.russianatom.ru.
