NovaWind Starts Concreting Foundations at Trunovskaya Wind Farm in Stavropol Krai
Concrete was poured for the first wind turbine foundation at the Trunovskaya Wind Farm in the Stavropol Krai (Southern Russia). A total of 38 wind turbines with a capacity of 2.5 MW each will be erected on the site. The Trunovskaya Wind Farm will be constructed and commissioned in two phases: 24 wind turbines with an aggregate capacity of 60 MW will be installed and put into operation during the first phase; 14 wind turbines with a total capacity of 35 MW will be constructed during Phase II of the project. With an installed capacity of 95 MW, the wind farm is estimated to generate 225 million kWh per annum.

The large-dimensioned structure being 195 tons in size and 42.8 meters in diameter, has been installed in the design position, i.e. at a height of 44.1 meters.
