Alexey G. Zhukov graduated in 1986 from the Moscow Engineering Physics Institute of Order of the Red Banner, "Nuclear power plants and installations". He has a degree in technical sciences (2012).
 
He worked in the Directorate for the Construction of the Khmelnitskaya nuclear power plant from 1986 to 1993, he overcame his career path from locksmith for equipment repair in centralized repair workshop up to a leading engineer of reactor control. In 1993 he worked at the Balakovo NPP as a leading engineer of reactor control, in 1998 he was transferred to the position Chief of reactor shop shift. In 1999 he began to work at the Rostov nuclear power plant (until 2010 - the Volgodonsk NPP) as Deputy chief of the reactor shop. In 2002 - 2006 years he was the Head of the reactor department of the Rostov nuclear power plant.
 
In 2006 he was transferred to the position of the Deputy chief engineer for operation. Since 2012 he has served as the Chief Engineer of the Rostov NPP.
 
Alexey G. Zhukov, who previously had held the position of the Chief Engineer of the Rostov NPP, was appointed the Deputy General Director - Director for Production and maintenance of nuclear power plants at the Rosenergoatom, Joint-Stock Company on July 15, 2015.

Alexey G. Zhukov was awarded the badge of the State Corporation "Rosatom" "Academician I.V. Kurchatov" IV degree, the insignia "For merits for the nuclear industry" III degree, II degree, the Silver Medal of Rosenergoatom "Rosenergoatom" "For merits in improving safety of nuclear power plants", Gold Medal of the Rosenergoatom "For merits in improving safety of nuclear power stations".

The main responsibilities that Alexei G. Zhukov has as the Deputy General Director - Director for Production and operation of nuclear power plants oat the Rosenergoatom, Joint-Stock Company:
 
- Identification and implementation of technical policy aimed at ensuring safe, reliable, economical operation of nuclear power plants;
 
- Organization and supervision of works for nuclear, radiation, fire, technical and ecological safety of nuclear power plants, environmental protection, improvement of technical level of operation and efficiency of nuclear power stations;
 
- Ensuring of uninterrupted production of electricity and thermal energy;
 
- Management of overhaul and repair of nuclear power plants;
 
- Providing engineering support to NPPs and others.
